You Mean That He Has A Motive?
March 5, 2007
You can’t be serious! I just flat out don’t believe it. You’re going to tell me that Al Gore may have a motive for promoting Global Warming? I don’t believe it. That would mean that Gore has an agenda, which can’t be true. I mean, Gore is a liberal, and when was the last time a lib had an agenda?
For those of you who don’t know what’s going on, the Tennessee newspaper, The Tennessean, wrote an article (Anne Paine to be more specific), that was pretty favorable to Gore. But towards the end, Paine slipped in this beauty:
“Gore helped found Generation Investment Management, through which he and others pay for offsets. The firm invests the money in solar, wind and other projects that reduce energy consumption around the globe, she said.”
I’m sorry, but did that just say Gore buys carbon offsets (or indulgences as I call them), from himself?
Do you see the problem here? Gore is buying these carbon indulgences, from himself! Last time I checked, when you purchase your own item, you don’t loose that much money.
Basically, what’s going on here, is Gore is investing in his own company, then turning a profit when others purchase these carbon indulgences. So, I’m not supposed to look at Global Warming as a scam?
We Can’t Stop Now
December 11, 2006
كيف تكون أنت ؟
Oh, I’m sorry. You probably can’t read that. I was just brushing up on my Arabic. It says “How are you?” I figure it’s about time I worked on learning that language, since we have given up. We, the strongest country in the world, have given up the fight. America is the last standing Super Power, but we can’t handle Iraq.
Actually, I take it back. We can handle Iraq. What we can’t handle, is the war being fought on 2 fronts, one in the Middle East, and one here, in America. Condemn me if you must, but the Liberal left has declared war against President George W. Bush. They attack every move he makes and refuses to let him govern. The Liberals have used their strangle hold on the American media to warp the minds of the uneducated and uninformed in America. They have successfully divided the nation at the time at we most needed to be brought together.
For some reason, there are so many people out there just don’t get it. There is an entire culture of people that want us dead. Apparently, some people just can’t grasp that. I guess I was wrong when I thought it was obvious. After September 11th all we heard was that the Arabs were in the midst of a “jihad”, or “Holy War” with us. What part of “Holy War” is difficult to understand? I would assume it’s “holy”, since Liberals hate it when anyone does anything in the name of God, but “war” should be self explanatory.
Don’t start with the “illegal war” crap. That was just another term made up by the left to attack the right. If you remember back to the killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, you will be able to recall that he was one of the most wanted terrorists in the world (the #1 man in Jordan). You can also recall that he was killed in his “safe house” just north of Baghdad. Omar al-Faruq, another top al-Qaeda official was also killed in Iraq. They are not the only ones.
Look, there is no one particular country to fight. Our battle is against a culture. A culture does not a have a home in one specific country. It lives in a hate filled region. As the Libertarian Dennis Miller says “Do I wish there was a country called al-Qaedia? Yes, I do.” Well folks, there isn’t. But there is an Iraq, an Afghanistan, an Iran, a Syria, and that’s as close as we are going to get.
This is not a Civil War. This is a World War. This is World War III. It has gone on too long. It did not start with Iraq, nor did it start on September 11th. It started when the Iranians took our people hostage.
We, like in World War I and II, did not start this war. However, we, like the other World Wars, we must finish it.
The newest plan has so much to do with appeasement of our enemies. But that is what our opponents want. They want us to appease them, to make it easier to infiltrate us. They have done that before. They will do it again.
As I type this, Tehran is playing host to a conference to find out if the Holocaust truly took place. This is one of the country’s we are supposed to negotiate with. There is nothing Iran and Syria want more than to see the Israeli nation wipped off the face of the earth. I take that back, there is one other thing. The destruction of America.
Some how, we don’t care about what our enemy is saying. Their calls for the destruction of the “Great Satan” do not fall on deaf ears, at least not in the Middle East.
But here, in America, those calls for our deaths, and their actions (which have backed up their words, in case you didn’t notice), do not seem to matter anymore. Now, the only thing that matters is attacking President Bush. We have our troops fighting a war that could decide the future of the entire world, and all the Democrat care about is fighting our President, the man who is trying to keep our country safe.
How is it the New York Times can constantly leak information giving away the American governments tactical moves? How can they think that it is a good idea to inform the enemy when we are tracing their phone calls, or their money? How can a newspaper backstab an entire country like that?
And we sit back, and let them do this. We sit back and let our own countrymen undermine our government, because a few of them originally thought it would be a good idea. Now a large number of our nation believes them.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the Pelosi crew has a completely wrong message. Everyone wants peace, and everyone wants our troops home. But they are going about it in the completely wrong way. How can we possibly have peace when there are millions of people hell bent on killing every last American?
“No one should make those types of comments about any race.” – Alan Colmes
Mr. Colmes spoke those words during a Hannity and Colmes segment about Kamau Kambon, the man who called for the extermination of white people. Well, Mr. Colmes, it is time you and your Liberal partners realize that you allow for people to make “those types of comments” every day about Americans. It is also time you realize that they are not going away.
But yet, we continue to try and appease. It’s as if we learned nothing. We learned nothing from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, from the bombing of the embassies, from the USS Cole, from September 11th. It’s as if the rest of the world learned nothing from the bombings in Madrid, London, Bali, Beslen, Moscow, Cairo, etc. These people will not stop until the entire world is Muslim. They will do everything in their power to take down America.
If we don’t fight them now, it will be to late. We have the terrorists where we want them, some where else. For the first time, this fight has been brought to them. This war has not been fought on American soil for over 5 years. The U.s. is undeniably safer since it officially entered the War on Terror. If we stand down now, it will be the end of us. The extremists will have control, and America as we know it, will no longer exist. If we do leave before the job is done, حسنت بداية يعلم العربية (better start learning Arabic). We want to be able to appease to the best of our ability.
The Dangers of Colleges and the Impressionable Youth
December 5, 2006
The youth of this great country are so impressionable. It is at a point where it has begun to danger the future of America. Each day, more and more young Americans (defined for the purpose of this entry as those 21 or younger and still in school) are loosing their free will. No longer are they allowed to think for themselves.
What you, the outsider, must realize, is that there is a war going on. One that rages inside our own boarders, one that the very aggressors of the war refuse to acknowledge its existence. It is, as Bill O’Reilly perfectly puts it, a “culture war”. Unfortunately, the youth of America have unknowingly found themselves caught in the middle.
Today, especially in the colleges, students are bombarded with bits of information. Unfortunately, not all of it is correct. In some cases, the students are bombarded with far left opinion, given to them as though it is the truth. These are not your normal liberal views, but views of those on the extreme left. The Liberal Extremists are brainwashing their students and posing as much of a threat to our society as the Islamic Extremists. These teachers have taken advantage of their students while they are in their most vulnerable state, a college setting where they are expecting to learn.
Professors like Ward Churchill of the University of Colorado, Kevin Barrett of the University of Wisconsin, and Kamau Kambon, formerly of North Carolina State, come to class with their radical agenda. They spew their ignorant, hate filled “facts” into the impressionable minds of their students. They aren’t teaching truth, but opinion, radical opinion. What we, as a country, are left with are a large number of young people learning hate, under the protection of a college setting.
Some people believe that these professors are protected by the freedom of speech. But the problem is that these Extreme Liberals completely lack any moral basis. Of course, you couldn’t have any type of moral backing to say that the victims of September 11th are “little Eichman’s“, or compare the terrorists to our Founding Fathers.
At what point is this considered out of hand? How far is too far? These people continue, to this day, to speak such ignorance on a large stage. Parents should be outraged. This is what your children are being taught! Almost every professor will talk about their view points, and they are protected. But this is not about left and right, Liberal vs. Conservative. Professors should be able to speak their minds as long as the students know this is only an opinion.
The worst is that these students just don’t know. I’m sure there have been a large number of students who have left Prof. Barrett’s class thinking it was truth. If you get a chance, find interviews with some of the kids who have taken the class of one of these Liberal Extremists. They seem brainwashed. They believe everything they were “taught” and can’t be told otherwise. These teachers have removed the child’s ability to think freely and damaged their view of the world.
I could go on and on about these “professors” but instead I suggest the book “Professors” by David Horowitz. It speaks of the 101 most dangerous professors in this country, and the damage they cause.
This can’t be allowed to continue. These professors hijack hundreds of student’s minds per year. Yes, most of these classes or electives, but how many students truly know what there getting in to? I for one know nothing about my professors before I choose a class. They could feel the same way as Churchill, and I wouldn’t know until I was all ready there. These students are vulnerable, and are being mentally and emotionally abused. This can not be allowed to continue. It is not free speech, it is abuse, it is hate, and it is destroying America.
Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
I, like many other American, have read your letter, which no doubt was written from your heart, and what you truly believe. We here in America have grown up respecting the beliefs of others, and your beliefs have not been treated any differently.
I understand your desire to have the American people see the world through your eyes. You undoubtedly wish for your country to become a super power and be recognized as such throughout the world. Having an American ally would only strengthen the standing of the Iranian nation.
I must however say that I found your letter quite amazing. You blatantly attack our administration, and seem to have a much different view of the world in writing when compared to your speeches.
I was personally taken aback by your statement “Our nation (Iran) has always extended its hand of friendship to all nations of the world.”
Did your nation extend its hand of friendship when it kidnapped the 66 Americans in the embassy at Tehran for 444 days? Do your citizens extend your country’s hand of friendship when they call for the destruction of America, and other westernized countries? Did you extend your countries hand of friendship when you sent some of your top militia to help Hezbollah in a fight that they had no right starting? Did you extend your country’s hand of friendship when you repeatedly threatened the existence of the Israeli nation?
You claim that the Israeli’s kill innocent civilians, including children. You do make a good point when you say that no mother would want their child killed. You say that the Palestinian mother grieve for the loss of their children, as you also correctly state, any mother would.
But, Mr. President, any mother also includes the Israeli mothers, who have had their children killed while innocently walking to school by rocket and mortar attacks. These strikes against the Israeli nation are designed to attack the innocent. These are not attacks against military instillations, but attacks against a people that did nothing but live their lives. The Palestinian civilians, while their losses are disheartening and fill all humans with sorrow, should be blamed squarely on the Hamas militants who hide amongst them and instigate the attacks. Surely you can not stand by a group of people that continue to attack their opposition after a truce has been called, and surely you can be pleased when their opposition does not strike back.
Yes, Mr. President, Iraq is a mess. Since the American invasion, Iraq has become the frontline for the War on Terror. No American likes to hear the news of the Iraqis who are killed by their own countrymen everyday. However, the American soldiers understand that they have a job to do, and they will do it to the best of their abilities. The nation of Iraq is currently in its most vulnerable of positions. The Iraqi government must prove to its people that it can be strong, even at the toughest of times. You can be assured that the American forces will not allow for the Iraqi government to be overrun by those looking to do harm to the country and to others.
While the American government may have changed parties, do not take that as a weakness. Do not take that as a sign that we are prepared to retreat with victory. We have done that before, and have learned from our past. While some of the loudest voices may be screaming for our withdrawal, be sure that the American people will fight the good fight, and not allow Iraq to turn back into the country it once was.
You see, Mr. President, we know what will happen when we are no longer on the offensive. Americans have seen what happens to their fellow citizens when we ignore the threat of the terrorists, who continue to call us the “great Satan”. We will never forget what happened on September 11th, 2001. We will also not forget how so much of the world refused to aid us. The sleeping giant has been woken.
You currently find yourself in a very interesting position. You are trying to establish nuclear power for your nation, but also refuse to allow for it to be monitored by the United Nations. Of course, you can see how people of the world have a tough time taking you on your word, considering you have said some strange things, such as how you don’t believe the Holocaust ever took place.
Iran is also in a very interesting position. You have the ability to open your country to the rest of the world. Iran can become an ally of many great nations, such as America. The American people do not wish to shun any other nation, but in order to gain our trust, do not write letters attacking our policies. Make good on your words, and extend your friendship to all nations, including Israel. There is so much good a nation like Iran can do for the world, but it will never be accomplished when you are constantly calling for the destruction of a nation fighting for its survival.
You claim in your letter that all people condemn terrorism, but the spoken words just fuel the fire. Calling for the destruction of Israel does not quell violence.
You also claim that our administration blindly supports the Zionist movement. But does your administration not blindly support the terrorists, killing the innocent people of Israel? Do you not see that the attacks against Israel are against civilians, while their response is directed at military targets?
As a country, Mr. President, we Americans ask for you to rethink your stance on many of your positions. We hope that one day; you will realize the pain your words have caused. You will see the suffering of the people who see their family members killed while going to work, going to school, or any other act that so many others take for granted. We hope, Mr. President, that you will see pain cause by so many people, who live right under your nose.
Sincerely:
A.J. Basile

Welcome!
November 26, 2006
Hello and welcome to the “Grand Ol’ Blog”. This blog will be where I finally put my political rants. The name, albeit not a good one, derives from a play off of the GOP, or Grand Ol’ Party, another name for the Republicans. I’m sure you can all ready see which point of view this blog will be heading. If you are a Liberal, I do not ask for you to turn away. I ask for you to read, and question my writings. Feel free to disagree with me, and feel free to let me know. You can e-mail me at GrandOlBlog@inbox.com
As for who I am, my name is AJ. I am a 19 year old college student from New York City. My friends and I own and operate the website “Gary’s Basem3nt“, a video game/sports news site. According to an online test, I am a Social Conservative. I am a fan of George W. Bush, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and most other Conservatives that are continually bashed in the media. I enjoy listening to AirAmerica (but not too often) to keep up with what the left is complaining about now. There is nothing I hate more than a celebrity using his/her popularity for political purposes.
Politics is something I feel very strongly about. I hope to use this space to bring out what I feel is the truth about most political happenings. This blog will have my opinion based on the facts that I take from the story. For your information, I get my news from places like MSNBC, FoxNews, CNN, Real Clear Politics, ABCRadio, AirAmerica, and many random web sites. I like to keep myself balanced in news intake. I feel it helps me form my own opinion.
Please do not be afraid to let me know if you disagree. I encourage it. I understand that many people out there disagree with my views, and will not be changed. It won’t be held against you. I hope you enjoy my blog.
